Bangladesh’s national minifootball team, captained by Tawsiful Islam, played in Group A of the Asian Minifootball Championship 2026 in Jakarta from 13 to 17 September.
The team lost to Indonesia, Thailand, India and Iraq in the group and to Japan in the 9th-place match. Fayed Azim scored three goals, and Md Golam Rabby and Md Arman Hosen two each. Thailand won the championship, beating Uzbekistan 3–2 in the final.
The National Minifootball League is designed to close the gap: regular competitive matches, scouting and performance data, and a clear route from club to country.
